Dr. Frempong Retires

Dr. Godfred Kwasi Frempong, the Deputy Director of the CSIR-STEPRI has retired after Thirty One (31) good years of active service to CSIR -STEPRI in particular and the CSIR Ghana, in general.

Dr. Frempong was employed into the CSIR as an Assistant Research Officer (ARO). With Through hard work and dedication to duty, he rose through the ranks to the position of Chief Research Scientist at his retirement. At a colorful ceremony to send him off, staff members from junior staff to Research grade Staff as well as union members praised the good old doctor for his dedication and mentoring posture to all while in active service. Dr. George Essegbey, the director of CSIR-STEPRI  was full of praise for Dr. Frempong and thanked him for the efforts he put into the team spirit that exists within the STEPRI Community to make the institute what it is today.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Frempong was grateful to God for how far he has brough him and the entire staff memebrs. He thanked all for the cordial relationship they had with him while he was in active service and adviced all to keep to the Core Values of STEPRI: Team work, Hard work and Excellence which is known as THE within STEPRI.

Even though the good old doctor is retired, he has, however, been  given a contract to provide technical backstopping for the Council for the next twelve (12) months due to the peculiar nature of his expertise.
