The CSIR-STEPRI has organised a two day training for Early Career Research Staff of the Accra based institutes of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Reseach (CSIR). This training was on Mentoring and Career Development Pathways for these early career reseach staff of the council.Topics such as the Art and Processes of Mentoring,Styles of Mentoring,Stages of Mentoring and Effective Communication in Mentoring were discussed. Participants were also taken trough how to develop their career by use of the Researcher Development Framework (RDF). Participants were tutored in How to Build a Purpose Road Map as a guide to carving a cereer development path for themselves and were taught how to Build and Maintain Networks as well as how to Organise Workshops.
The Training was sponsored by the Association of African Universities (AAU) through the CIRCLES Program. Training resources (The Researcher Development Framework (RDF) was provided by VITAE.
